Nature activity in a high mountain panorama!🎣

Live a family or friends experience in a magical setting! Lac du Chardonnet is located at an altitude of 2384m, west of Tignes, at the gates of the Vanoise National Park.

Try it, take the fishing rods in hand and bait the rainbow trout or brook salmon that feed the lake. 

If you are experienced, or lucky, you can enjoy a grilled on the barbecue (available on site).🐟

This superb site is accessible by three routes:

  • Hiking trail from Tignes le Lac (300m ascent) in about an hour
  • Hiking trail from Tignes Val Claret (300m rise in altitude) in about an hour
  • Palafour chairlift, then walk down to the lake, in about 40 minutes

As a reward, an unbeatable view over the lake of Tignes... At the end of the activity, the only way to get off is to walk!🏞

To remember

Participation conditions

  • No experience required
  • Access can be done on foot (around 1 hour from the lake or Val Claret) or by the Palafour chairlift followed by a 30-minute walk (200m drop in altitude). After the activity, the only way to go down is to walk down 300 m of negative altitude difference (between 30 minutes and 1 hour depending on your physical condition and the group). This access and return is done independently.
  • Passes are for fisher, accompanying persons are free 
  • A barbecue is at your disposal to enjoy your catch on the spot but bring your own pic nic !

Organization and safety

  • It is preferable to reserve your pass before going up (no guarantee of availability on site)
  • A supervisor is on hand to ensure that the activity runs smoothly, but this is not a fishing course, you fish independently
  • The weather changes quickly in the high mountains, if a thunderstorm is announced we warn to delay the activity

Equipment

  • We provide the fishing rod and the basic elements to practice the activity
  • Equip yourself with good shoes, a windbreaker, water and a fairly warm outfit
  • You can also bring a picnic lunch to eat on site
